• The exam consists of three papers, all of which are subject-specific.
• Each paper is of 200 marks.
• One gets 3 hours to attempt each paper.

• Mode of Exam: Online Mode (CBT Exam)
• Language: English
• Type of Questions: Objective Type Questions (MCQs)
• Total Marks: 150 Marks (1 mark per question)
• Duration of Exam: 2 hours per paper
• Negative Marking Criteria: 1/3^rd of marks will be deducted for wrong response.

  • Geologist and Geophysicist and Chemist (Group ‘A’): 21 to 32 years
  • Jr. Hydrogeologist (Scientist B) (Group A): 21 to 35 years
• Age Relaxation for reserved categories is as below
  • SC/ ST: 05 years
  • OBC: 03 years
  • Defence Services Personnel: 03 years
  • Ex-servicemen: 05 years
  • ECOs/ SSCOs: 05 years
  • PwD Candidates: 10 years
• Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in the respected subjects and fields
