What Is Prottay Scheme : The government on Wednesday introduced a new scheme called ‘Prottay’ under the Universal Pension Scheme (UPS) for the new recruitment employees of self-conscious, autonomous, state-owned, statutory organizations and their subordinate bodies.
In a notification on Wednesday, the Finance Ministry said the scheme would be effective from July 1.New benefits will be available to those who join on or after 1 July or after 1: Self-governing, autonomous, state-owned, statutory organizations and their subordinate bodies, notification.
The notification states that the launch of the ‘Prottay’ scheme will not be prejuded against the interests of the current officers/employees of these institutions and their current pension/gratuity benefits will remain intact.However, those who have a minimum 10 -year service period, if they express interest, can participate in the new scheme.

Govt Launch New Scheme, Know Apply And Benefits?
Most of the employees working under the current pension scheme have been covered by gratuity and contributing Provident Fund (CPF). In this system, employees are entitled to a minimum amount as retirement benefits at the end of service, but no monthly pension, the notification said.
In the ‘Prottay’ system, 10% of the basic salary of a concerned officer or employee or maximum TK5000, whichever is low, will be deducted from the said salary and a similar amount will be paid by the respective establishments or institutions. Participation in the plan.
Both zodiac signs will then be deposited under the management of the National Pension Authority, which will then invest the amount in profitable areas. The resulting income will be added to the pensioner’s account.
For example, after submitting under the name of an employee for 30 years, the person will get a pension of TK62,330 per month after retirement at the age of 60.
What Is Prottay Scheme 2024
In this case, for 30 years, the total amount paid from the employee’s own salary is TK9 lakh (TK2,500 deposits per month) and the total amount paid by the concerned institution/organization is also TK9 lakh.
The total amount of contribution to the organization and concerned employees will be TK18 lakh. If the beneficiary dies at the age of 75, then the person gets a pension of at least TK1.12 crore in 15 years, which is 12.47 times the employee’s own deposit, the Ministry said to clarify the profit.
